  1. Born and raised in Macon. Be careful at Amerson River Park. Also, the first parking space you see downtow, take it because there is no perfect parking space and an open one is hard to find. Don’t worry if it’s not in front of the place you intend to go to because a lot of things mentioned in this video is downtown and you can walk to all of them plus many more nice and exciting shops and restaurants. Even though it’s over 15 years old by now, visit the “new mall”. Given that name because macon only had one mall for so long (excluding the now defunct westgate mall) so residents was very excited when this was first built so the name ‘new mall’ kind of stuck.

  2. you missed the two biggest attractions. In the Spring (Cherry Blossom Festival downtown) and starting after Thanksgiving the (Christmas light extravaganza downtown).
